Registered Mental Health Counselor intern/pre-licensed by the State of Florida License number: IMH 29142 Supervised by Dr. April Brown (Florida / MH9682)
My Jounery
I became a counselor because I have always been passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges and discover their strengths. Through my personal experiences, I learned the importance of having someone who listens without judgment and provides support during difficult times. These experiences inspired me to pursue counseling as a career, allowing me to help others build resilience, improve their well-being, and achieve personal growth. I find great fulfillment in creating a safe and supportive environment where individuals can explore their concerns and work toward positive change.
My Education & Professional Background
I graduated from Walden University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a bachelor’s degree in applied psychology and a minor in Addiction Counseling from Hodges University. With over 10 years of experience counseling and as a school teacher, I have worked with both adults and adolescents, providing compassionate and evidence-based support through various stages of healing and recovery.
